2023 saw the launch of Hester’s Jaguar and Brioso, two new dressage saddles that have been developed over a period of two years with some of the more trickier to fit horses! Working with UK Master Saddlers and equine therapists, the two new saddles are possibly the most comfortable for horse and rider and offer the most flexible fit options, using Jacobs Wool to give saddle fitters the opportunity to fine tune for any horse. Our PATENTED X Change gullet plate system means you can easily change the width of the saddle.

Offers a new and improved girthing system with three girth straps including a point strap to choose the most suitable solution for the horse. Has a slightly deeper seat than the Hester’s Jaguar and fits the horse that has a typical warmblood conformation, with a wide back and
,big shoulder. Flocked with Jacob’s Wool to enable saddle fitters to get a perfect fit. This saddle uses the Series I PDS/Pessoa gullet plates and comes as standard with a MW fit.
Updated double leather skirt design
Can be ordered with the PDS anatomical knee-roll or comes as standard with the new "Corta" knee-roll formed with soft foam

HESTER'S JAGUAR

Offers a new and improved girthing system with three girth straps including a point strap to choose the most suitable solution for the horse. This saddle is built on a jump tree so is slightly more upswept at the rear and suitable for the horse with more “shape” to its conformation. The more open seat allows for riders to move more freely in the saddle. It is flocked with Jacobs Wool enabling saddle fitters to perfect the fit. Fitted with Pessoa/PDS Series II gullet plates. Comes as standard with a MW fit.

PDS X-CHANGE SYSTEM
The PDS X-Change is an easy to fit gullet system that allows you to change your saddle width
when your horse changes shape.
It is a patented system with easy to identify coloured gullet heads that are easy to change. Most PDS Saddles are based on the SERIES I apart from Hester's Jaguar and Uthopia which are SERIES II

GULLET PLATES
To ensure your saddle fits perfectly we have a patented range of gullet plates. These can be used to ensure your saddle fits your horse as he changes in condition or width throughout his life. If you buy a new horse and the shape of the saddle is the correct fit (always check with a qualified saddle fitter) then you can alter the gullet plate to fit the width of your new horse. We recommend that a qualified saddle fitter changes gullet plates.
SERIES II X-Change System Gullet Plates for Pessoa jump saddles and dressage models including Hester’s Jaguar.
All PDS saddles can be adjusted easily, often on site, to ensure that your saddle always fits perfectly.
Each saddle is supplied with a MW gullet plate as standard unless pre ordered by your saddle fitter. Gullet plates are only available to registered saddler fitters. Our gullet plates are not designed for any other saddle brand other than PDS and PESSOA. Gullet plates are designed to alter the width of the saddle, not the shape. Colours denote the widths. Above is the Series II range which goes from
Narrow (Pink) to XXX-Wide (Red). Gullet plates are stamped on the inside with a 1 or 2 to denote the series. A yellow (X Narrow) is now also available, not shown here,
